Sunday, Oct. 2 Program

On Sunday, October 2 the Bradley Historical Committee will present the 2 p.m. program at the Old Town Museum. Their program will feature several pictures of the older Bradley families and a talk about their lineage.

October 16, 2011 – Museum Tea

The Museum Tea will be held at the Museum on Sunday, October 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. “Village to Village” will provide background music during the event. Tea Blogger, Tea Party Consultant, author and Old Town native Katrina Avila will present the program. Reservations are necessary. Table for 8 is $100; for 4, $50; for 2, $25; and for 1, $15. New Exhibits at the Museum

Be sure to stop in the Museum soon to see the exhibits added new this year — Boy Scouts, Civil War and displays from the Towns of Bradley and Orono. Museum hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Museum Hours for 2011

Display of Old Town's shoe industry.

Included in the Museum are displays about the city's industries, including its shoe, canoe and textile industries.

The Museum will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm or by arrangement.  Hosted by an all-volunteer staff, community members are welcome to visit, or volunteer during those hours.

There is no fee to enjoy the museum, though donations are appreciated.

Old Town Museum Welcomes New Board Members

The newest members of the Old Town Museum are Harry Sanborn and Kristin Segee.

Mr. Sanborn is a businessman from Alton and Ms. Segee is employed at Birmingham Funeral Home in Old Town.  The Museum will benefit from their expertise and is thankful for their community spirit!
